- Line 9 crosses Paris from west to east and is the third most-used line in the network.
- It passes by landmarks such as the Parc des Princes, Trocadéro with views of the Eiffel Tower, and the famous Champs-Élysées.
- Some stations like Franklin D. Roosevelt and Grands Boulevards have been renamed over the years.
- There are plans for a future extension towards Montreuil - Hôpital.
